Cataracts can be a normal part of aging. The natural lens inside the eye becomes cloudy, making vision more difficult.  Cataracts tend to develop gradually, which means people do not notice them until they are advanced.

Checking for cataracts is part of our comprehensive eye exam.  If you have cataracts, we will take the time to discuss your options with you.  These may include regular monitoring or referral to a local ophthalmologist (eye surgeon).
